The Famous Bulgarians: Dr. engr. John Notchev

I would fly you to the moon and back

“One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” We’ve all heard the quote, we all know who said it and we all know about the first man on the moon. But who was responsible for getting him there safely? No, this is not where I proclaim a Bulgarian man single-handedly built and launched the Apollo 11. Let’s be real. But a Bulgarian genius by the name of Ivan or John, as he is better known (pf wanna-be American boy…) Notchev was in fact part of the brilliant team that made the moon landing possible. Johnny and his boys designed the reactive engines that were to take the Apollo to the moon AND BACK! They guaranteed that the craft would land horizontally AND latch them safely back onto the space ship orbiting around the moon in anticipation of their return. Needless to say, the mission was successful and Bulgaria has someone else to be incredibly proud of!
