Who wrote it better?

There has been, is and always will be heated debate on the subject of who actually created the Cyrillic alphabet. Is it actually Macedonian, are the Macedonians actually a bunch of wanna-be strong, independent language-thieves who are basically Bulgarian, but too scared to admit it? We’ll never know for sure, but here’s our version of the story.

How do you teach people who can’t read or write (because they don’t have an alphabet) about a religion… or anything else for that matter? Bit difficult, methinks. So the missionary brothers decided to take things one step at a time and created the Glagolitic alphabet, which later served as the basis for the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet.

Besides their contribution to Bulgarian (and other Cyrillic languages), the two brothers were canonized as saints for their translation and popularization of the Bible in Old Church Slavonic (apparently – старобългарски) and spreading the word of God.
